James Smith, Chartered Accountant is a small accounting practice offering professional tax and accounting services to owner managed businesses and individuals.

We specialise in landlords, consultants and other small service businesses.

Ethos

We offer a good quality accounting and taxation service for both the owner managed business and for individuals. We operate both locally in Oxfordshire in the traditional manner, and more commonly on a national basis through the use of electronic communications.

As a relatively small practice we are able to provide a very personal service - you will talk to the same person every year who will then gain a better understanding of your business and therefore give you useful advice. We view this personal relationship as the key to our success.

In terms of our clients, we deal in the main with small service sector businesses and landlords. Our key areas of industry specific expertise are property taxation and ecommerce and related internet service businesses. We also deal with a large number of small contractors operating through a limited company inside or outside of IR35.

If your current accountants are not giving you the right level of service then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Please note due to high demand we are not taking on new clients during the first half of 2012. More generally we often have a limited number of slots available for new clients and during busy periods we may be unable to take you on. We are no longer taking on any new clients in retail, manufacture, distribution or general cash trades.
